Sleep More

Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. Sleep is involved in the healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels. It is recommended that you get between 7 and 9 hours sleep a night. Lack of sleep is linked to an increase in risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and even strokes.

Tips for improved sleep:

  • Have a sleep routine. Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. Even on weekends, bank holidays and days off!
  • Try to avoid TV or other electronic devices as the light emitted can interfere with quality of sleep. Many devices have night shift settings which reduces the level of lighting emitted.
