Drink more water

Your body is 60% water and it is needed for many different bodily functions such as regulating your body temperature. We are constantly losing water through our skin when sweating and when we go to the toilet. So, it is important to replenish the body’s water supply and avoid becoming dehydrated.

Tips to drink more water:

  • It is recommended to drink 2 litres of water a day. Buy a two-litre bottle and have this with you at work. Set targets that you must meet throughout the day to ensure you drink enough. Tea and coffee don’t count towards your water intake.
  • Add a slice of lemon or lime to your drink to add flavour.
  • Make drinking water a habit. Have a glass every time you use the toilet, or with every meal.

Research shows that dehydration can affect your mood and make you grumpy and confused. Think clearer and be happier by drinking more water.
