Be kind to yourself
A bit of kindness can go a long way, yet often it’s associated with being kind to others. We’re all guilty of being too hard on ourselves sometimes so being kinder can have a big effect on our quality of life. So don’t beat yourself up if you make a mistake or you don’t always manage to complete the ‘to do’ list!
Set yourself realistic, manageable goals. Prioritising and learning ways to avoid procrastination are also great strategies for being kind to yourself.
Getting less things done is often better than the pursuit of perfection. Next time you hear yourself saying ‘I need to do this’ or ‘I have to do this’, take a moment and decide if this is true, do you? Or are you choosing to? Would you choose to if given the choice?
