Deal with external factors
There are different theories about the relationship between external factors and personal stress, but it obviously makes sense to reduce the external pressures if you feel they are getting to you.
Some Frequent sources of stress are:
- Time pressure
- Lack of clear directions, especially when things are changing
- Lack of choice in deciding when and how you work
- Financial commitments
- Relationship issues
- Caring responsibility
- Bereavement
- Lack of support, or in the worst case, harassment
